Searching Online For Kids Golf Clubs

If you are searching on the internet for kids golf clubs and equipment it is often difficult to find what you are looking for. Many of the golf stores on the internet do sell some junior or kids golf clubs and accessories but more often than not it is difficult to find exactly what you are looking for.  The ones I researched had at most 1 – 2 pages of kids golf clubs.  I recently did a search on amazon.com for kids golf in all departments and I couldn't believe the huge selection I found there.  There are kids golf clubs for all ages of young golfers at every price imaginable.  There is also a plethera  of other kids golf equipment from golf instruction DVD's to t-shirts to golf bags to some really cute and colorful golf balls.

There are kids golf clubs for the 3 – 5 year old group, 6 – 8 year olds,  9  – 11, over 12 group, clubs for girls, clubs for boys. Most kids golf club sets come with a golf bag in a great selection of colors.  All in all I found 949 products for the term "kids golf" and by checking out this link you can find what you are looking for when shopping for kids golf clubs and equipment for your child:

Getting Started With Kids Golf Clubs

As an avid golfer yourself, you may get great joy in playing golf with your son or daughter. You can play at completely different levels and still enjoy throughout your lives.

If you are active in a golf club, ask your pro for advice on getting your child on the golf course and whether they offer special lessons for kids. If not, here are some ideas for dads interested in developing golf skills early.

1. You should wait until your child is at least six years old before teaching golf.  Kids need to have a basic learning ability to understand the concepts and basic rules of the game.

2. There’s no reason to buy expensive clubs for little kids. There are many sources for good sets of kids golf clubs on the internet or at golf shops. You can usually get a good set that includes a bag and other accessories from around $59 and up.

3. You can try a fun lawn golf game for the family called Qolf. Instead of holes, young kids hit through arches like in croquet. More advanced golfers can try to chip through targets.

4. Provide Lessons. Pros say to teach distance first, and accuracy later. Consider lessons early so you have an idea on how to instruct your son or daughter.

5. Find a kid-friendly course near you. Most courses have times when playing with even a young child does not bother other players. Make sure to always observe proper etiquette and let faster players play through. Many par-3 “executive” courses are the perfect length for young players.

6. Search for a family-friendly golf course near you that add shorter range tees so total yardage is 2200 and 3750 yards, rather than the usual 5000 plus yards found at most courses.

7. Encourage your  child to tee it up in the fairway. It’s a great ego boost and will help keep play moving.

8. Kids will always want to drive the cart, but it’s a better habit to walk. Walking is cheaper and it’s fantastic exercise for both of you.

9. If your child is older, consider a golf camp.  They cater to kids and adults. Camp is an intensive experience, but can be a great bonding opportunity for you and your child, as well as a solid base to build a great golf game.

Whatever you do, try to make it a fun experience that will keep them wanting more.

Golf Clubs Callaway Manufactures for Men & Women

Callaway has a long tradition of making golf clubs designed for an persons strengths and to make up for their drawbacks. The golf clubs Callaway has engineered use the best technology so that each ability level is met. Used by the PGA’s best, Callaway will forever be associated with the ultimate in golf capability. They have set the industry standard in drivers and are solely responsible for developing the now legendary Big Bertha.

The Fusion Technology drivers are golf clubs Callaway has made use of a multi-faceted design for. They focus on each side of the club, like the inertia that occurs when the club contacts the ball, the height, depth and center of balance, the center of gravity bias, face design, loft of the ball and the way the club lays. All of these vital aspects of the way the club contacts the ball are considered so the optimum force and distance is achieved.

The Big Bertha is Callaway’s legendary driver with hyperbolic face technology. The weight has been placed in the express locations that will let the player achieve the highest and furthest ball flights possible. There is also a set of Big Bertha irons for men that behave the same way by offering a wide head for a larger margin of player error.

Golf clubs Callaway has for ladies, include the Big Bertha which has been designed specifically for a girl’s swing style and power. It is a titanium driver that’s just light enough so the velocity of the swing isn’t reduced. Callaway also has the Big Bertha irons that have been developed just for women and supply more forgiveness for off-center shots.

The Callaway X-Series has once more set the general standard for MOI and CG. Weight has been distributed for premium performance and distance control.

The golf clubs Callaway has designed to be like hybrids are the FT i-brids. They may be employed to hit long distance shots where a three wood or 4 iron would sometimes be used. The i-brids have more forgiveness for those long distance shots. Callaway has proven to have the latest invention so the golfer, either learner, handicapper or professional will always be at the pinnacle of their game.

Birth of the hybrid golf club

hybrid golf clubIn 1982, Jim Simons became the first tour player to win a professional tournament with metal woods in his bag and edespite Justin Leonard winning The Open Championship in 1997 with persimmon woods, it set metal woods firmly into golf bags around the world.

Y.E. Yang’s majestic approach shot to the final hole at Hazeltine last Sunday to win the PGA Championship, has now firmly set hybrid golf clubs into golf bags around the world. The shot has been reported many times, each time using the words “3-iron hybrid” or words to that effect. The details are mentioned over and over not just for its brilliance and Yang’s courage but for its role in the great Tiger cull of 2009.

I wonder how many non-golfers are wondering just what a “3-iron hybrid” is – an electric powered shot perhaps? I wonder how many golfers who had previously expressed a dislike for the new style of clubs are now reconsidering? I wonder if Tiger himself is asking Steve Williams if he minds carrying one more club?

I’ve come across many weekend golfers of varying skill levels that refuse to put a hybrid golf club in the bag because its not right – “….and anyway, Tiger doesn’t even use one”.

It’s a debate that echoes the one about putting from off the green. It’s refused on grounds varying from “not wanting to give-in to bad chipping” to “it’s not right – the putter’s for the putting green”. The fact remains, you need to get the ball in the hole in as few shots as possible. Many golfers cut off their nose to spite their face.

Y.E. YangHerein lies the beauty of the hybrid which many golfers already know. It’s easier to hit than a 3-iron and can be used from a multitude of lies and situations. Like any new club it takes a little bit of getting used to but thanks to Yang Yong-Eun’s history making shot, it can hold it’s hybrid head high with a new nickname – “A Tiger Beater”.

What is a Cake Ball?

What is a Cake Ball?
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Amanda_K._Jones]Amanda K. Jones

If you’re like a lot of people you’ve probably never heard of cake balls before. In fact, until just a week ago I was going through life feeling quite happy and oblivious to the fact that they existed. However, not too long ago during a conversation I was having with my husband, he dropped a comment that he noticed his stepsister was “craving cake balls” on her Facebook profile. “She was craving WHAT?” I asked.

Being the inquisitive type of person that I am, I had to figure out exactly what the story was behind these so-called yummy balls of cake. For some reason I just couldn’t picture it in my head. So I decided to do a little bit of research online and I discovered that there has been a void in my life for the past 30 years that I never knew existed. How had I gone through life thus far not knowing about cake balls?

OK, so what is a cake ball exactly? In simple terms, you bake a cake and once it cools off a little you break it up into tiny crumbs. Add frosting, and roll the mixture into bite-size balls. After the balls hang out in the freezer for a bit you dip them in chocolate coating. The result is pure heaven! As soon as I learned how simple it was to make a batch I knew I had to try some for myself.

You can use a cake mix and store-bought frosting or you can bake your cake from scratch. One of the things that makes cake balls so appealing is the endless combinations and variations you can use with the different flavors of cake, frosting, and coating. For my first batch I used German chocolate cake, coconut pecan frosting, and chocolate coating. Let’s just say when I took them to work to share with my co-workers they didn’t last very long! Imagine eating a piece of cake without the hassle of a plate and fork. Delightful and very addicting! One recipe will make about 30 balls depending on how big you roll out your mixture.

For my next batch I want to try strawberry cake with cream cheese frosting and chocolate coating. Yum! You can even decorate your cake balls with sprinkles and other decorations. There are even avid bakers out there who sell and cater them for a living! Many bakeries make cake balls from their leftover scrap pieces of shaped cakes. During my research I also discovered that when you put cake balls on sticks they become “cake pops” or “cupcake pops”. Once you do this you open up a whole new world of decorating possibilities.

Golf Tips – Good Gear and Sportsmanship

If you are just getting into the sport of golf, you have probably heard thousands of golf tips from well-meaning golfers. However, what many golfers fail to realize is that many of the golf tips that work well for one golfer, simply do not work well for another. Here are some golf tips that work well for everyone.

As a beginner, do not rush out and buy a set of high priced clubs. Buy a set of used clubs, or better yet rent your clubs. Take a little time to see if you really enjoy the game of golf, and if you will stick to it first. The used or rented clubs won’t be the top of the line, but they will get you through several games of golf to see if you are going to stick with it. This is also a good opportunity to start researching exactly what clubs you need when you are ready to buy a new set.

Golf is fun, but the sport should not be taken lightly. It is a sport – it isn’t just a bunch of retired men knocking a ball around. It takes a great deal of skill and technique to master the game. The pros you see on television make it look quite simple – but it isn’t. The concepts you will learn from more experienced golfers will sound easy – and look easy – in theory, but in practice, they are quite difficult. The sooner you realize this, the faster you will start to improve your game.

While golf does require skill and technique, it is still meant to be enjoyed and the experience should be relaxing. If you get angry over bad shots or you find that you are not enjoying the game, you should back up and re-evaluate your reasons for playing the game. Try to look at things from a new perspective. It is a game that tests your skill – but it should not test your patience!

Choose your golf aids carefully. A great deal of money can be wasted on aids, courses, and videos that turn out to not be any help at all. When possible, buy used aids, courses, and videos. Save your golfing money for more important things – like clubs, balls, and tees! Used clubs aren’t very good – used training equipment usually works quite well.

Golf is great exercise. Riding in a golf cart defeats that purpose though. Walk, don’t ride! Save the cart for the days when you really are too old to walk a short distance – take advantage of the exercise that you will get by walking from one tee to the next, and take the time to actually enjoy the walk!

Alcohol is often served at the clubhouse – but you should wait until you finish your round of golf before consuming any. First, the alcohol will greatly alter your game. Second, alcohol is a dehydrating substance, and this isn’t safe in the hot sun. Carry water with you during your game, and make sure you drink plenty of it!

Becoming good at the game takes a lot of practice. Use your practice sessions to learn what mistakes you are making, and work to correct them. Don’t just keep making the same mistakes over and over, thinking that it doesn’t matter, or that it is too hard to learn! If you’re going to play, play to win!

Use training aids, and if possible, video tape yourself playing a round of golf, making sure that you get close up shots of you teeing off, close up shots of the club hitting the ball on the tee-off, and even shots of you putting. Have a friend run the camera for you for best results, and review the tape in slow motion to see what needs the most work.

The most important golf tips you will ever receive are the ones that focus on good sportsmanship. Never make fun of other players. Some people do look funny playing golf – but those funny looking people can probably beat every aspect of your game, and they will have the last laugh. Be respectful of your fellow golfers, and listen closely to the advice of the seasoned players.
